It’s hard to believe that this was published in December, 2000. The author describes NYSE scalping without decimalization and Chapter 1 describes a trade in INTC at 137.

Overall, this “how-to” was far too esoteric and short on strategy. The author is a psychologist which is all one needs to know.

There are much better resources available inlcuding Nassar’s book and the Underground.com Guide.

After reading all the great reviews this book has received, I expected to get a good book that would guide me to great fortunes. After all, the title suggests financial freedom, doesn’t it? Well I ddin’t quite achieved what the titles suggests. In fact I consistantly lost money following the philosophies of this book. If you want something that works, buy Jeff Cooper’s Hit & Run Trading.

Brian June does not offer anything of value to this publication. The rest was already taught by Van Tharp in his other book. M only question is if Van Tharp knows what mindset a trader must have, why doesn’t he trade?

I was reading an interview in “Market Wizards” with Tharp and he concluded at that time he would not work with people that day trade because Page 416 “I also am convinced that is it difficult to make money day trading or trading in a short time-frame, so I am skeptical about anyone who wants me to help them day trade successfully.

This quote in itself speaks volumes of the author’s motivation to write a book. He is not making any money trading so breaking his principles, he authors a book about something he thinks cannot be done.

i think the business side of trading is often overlooked by the private online trader and this is a great place to start. but don’t just read it, do it! a constant reference and definitely needs to be reread every 6 months to keep you on your toes.
